Bluetooth Page Turners
A Bluetooth page-turner pedal lets you move through your set without touching the screen — turn lead-sheet pages, advance song steps, or jump between songs with your foot while your hands stay on the instrument.
How they work
Section titled “How they work”Classic Bluetooth page-turners — AirTurn, PageFlip, iRig BlueTurn, Coda, Donner, and most others — pair to your phone, tablet, or computer as a Bluetooth keyboard. Each switch sends a key press. Gigmeister listens for those keys during performance, so most pedals work the moment they’re paired — no setup inside the app.
Pairing
Section titled “Pairing”- Put the pedal in pairing mode (see its manual).
- On your device, open the system Bluetooth settings and connect it — the same place you’d pair headphones. Pedals connect at the OS level, not inside Gigmeister.
- Open a setlist or a song in perform mode and press a switch.
Keys that work out of the box
Section titled “Keys that work out of the box”Gigmeister responds to the keys page-turners commonly send, so it works with most pedals on their default mode:

The precedence is page → step → song: on a multi-page lead sheet the pedal turns pages first, then falls through to step or song navigation once you reach the last page.
Recommended pedal modes
Section titled “Recommended pedal modes”Set your pedal to one of these modes and it works immediately:

Remapping a pedal
Section titled “Remapping a pedal”Want a switch to do something specific — play a clip, toggle the click, tap tempo? Bind it in Settings > Devices > Controls:
- Tap Learn on the action you want.
- Press the pedal switch.
- The key is captured and saved.
Keyboard bindings live in the same panel as MIDI, so a MIDI foot controller and a Bluetooth pedal are set up the same way.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Media / volume-key modes don’t work. Some pedals have a mode that sends volume up/down or play/pause media keys. Those don’t reach the app (especially on iPhone and iPad), so pick an arrow, page, or space/enter mode instead.
- iOS Full Keyboard Access. On iPhone and iPad, turn off Settings → Accessibility → Keyboards → Full Keyboard Access — it intercepts foot-switch keys before Gigmeister sees them.
- One custom binding per action. A custom key you set in Controls replaces that action’s MIDI binding. The built-in keys above always work regardless.
