Getting Started

Welcome to Gigmeister. Here’s how to get started with your band.

Create Your Account

1. Sign up at gigmeister.app — with email, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google
2. The onboarding wizard walks you through creating a new band (or joining an existing one with an invite code) and picking a starting point — demo songs to explore the app, importing your existing library, or a blank slate
3. You’re in — start adding songs

After onboarding, a Get Set Up checklist appears on the Songs and Setlists tabs with your next steps — invite the band, add a song you play, build a setlist — based on the goals you picked in the wizard. Steps tick themselves off as you complete them, and the card can be dismissed any time.

Invite Your Bandmates

Go to Settings > Band and copy your band’s invite code. Share it with your bandmates — they enter the code during signup and join instantly.

Note

Users can belong to multiple bands. Switch between bands from the settings menu. Your personal settings (MIDI devices, theme) carry across all your bands. Transpose values and personal notes are per-song within each band.

Add Your First Song

1. Go to the Songs tab
2. Tap the + button
3. Enter the song title and artist
4. Add optional details: key, tempo, duration, chord sheet, lyrics

You can also bring songs in bulk from BandHelper, CSV, or JSON — tap Import in the Songs tab. See Import & Migration.

Create a Setlist

1. Go to the Setlists tab
2. Tap New Setlist
3. Give it a name and optionally link it to a gig or rehearsal
4. Add songs from your library and drag to reorder

Use section markers (SET 1, SET 2, ENCORE) to organize multi-set gigs.

Set Up MIDI (Optional)

If you use MIDI gear on stage, head to Settings > MIDI Devices to add your devices. Gigmeister supports 51+ devices out of the box — from Nord keyboards to Line 6 Helix to Kemper Profilers. Once configured, your patches switch automatically as you navigate songs during a gig.

Connect an AI Assistant (Optional)

If Claude or ChatGPT is already part of how you work, connect it to your band: paste one URL into the assistant’s connector settings and sign in — no API key. From there you can paste your whole repertoire into the chat, ask for a 90-minute set, or have it draft the reply to a booking email, all against your real library.

You’re Ready

Your song library and setlists sync automatically across all band members. Changes made by anyone are visible to everyone in real-time. The app works offline too — any changes you make without a connection sync back when you’re online again.
