Gigs & Rehearsals

The calendar helps your band keep track of gigs and rehearsals. Schedule events, track who’s playing, link setlists, and sync everything to your personal calendar.

Gigs are performance events — anything from a bar gig to a festival. They include fields for:

  • Status — Option (tentative), Confirmed, or Cancelled
  • Gig type tags — Wedding, corporate, festival, private party, etc.
  • Linked setlist — Attach the setlist you’ll play at this gig
  • Load-in, setup, and soundcheck times — So the band knows when to arrive, not just when they play
  • Organizer contact — Name, email, phone of whoever booked the gig
  • Venue contact — Name and phone for the venue itself
  • Payment tracking — Amount, currency, and payment status (unpaid, deposit, paid)
  • Contract status — Whether the contract is signed
  • Dress code, parking info — Practical details for the band
  • Tech rider and stage layout — Production requirements in one place

Rehearsals focus on practice logistics:

  • Rehearsal type — Full band, section, acoustic, or tech rehearsal
  • Focus songs — Tag which songs you want to work on
  • Agenda — Notes on what to cover
  • Room booking reference — For rented rehearsal spaces
  • Cost and split — Track room costs and split among attendees
  • Linked setlist — Attach a setlist to run through
  1. Go to the Calendar tab
  2. Tap + to create a new event
  3. Choose Gig or Rehearsal
  4. Fill in the details and save

The calendar shows events in month view or list view. Filter by event type, gig status, or your attendance.

Each event tracks who’s playing and who’s not. Band members can respond with:

  • Playing — Confirmed attending
  • Not Playing — Can’t make it
  • Maybe — Tentative

The event detail shows everyone’s status at a glance. Band admins can also update attendance on behalf of other members.

Band members can set default attendance preferences in their settings — for example, “always playing for gigs, maybe for rehearsals.” This pre-fills attendance when new events are created.

Members can also be marked as “core” or “guest” with different defaults for each type.

For regular rehearsals (e.g., every Tuesday at 7pm), create a recurring event instead of adding each one manually.

Supported patterns:

  • Weekly — Every week, or specific days (Monday and Wednesday)
  • Bi-weekly / every N weeks — Flexible intervals
  • Monthly — Same date each month
  • Daily — For intensive rehearsal blocks

Recurring events can have an end date or run indefinitely. Skip specific dates (holidays, conflicts) without breaking the pattern, or reschedule individual instances to different dates.

When editing a recurring event, choose to update just this instance, this and all future instances, or the entire series.

Generate a personal iCal link to subscribe from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any calendar app that supports iCal feeds.

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar
  2. Copy your personal calendar link
  3. Add it as a subscription in your calendar app

The feed updates automatically. Configure which events to include:

  • Gigs only, rehearsals only, or both
  • Include tentative gigs and “maybe” events or only confirmed ones

Link a setlist to any gig or rehearsal. When you open the event, the linked setlist is accessible directly — no searching required. This is especially useful on gig day when you want to jump straight from the calendar into performance mode.

When a gig has a linked setlist, the Soundman View is available directly from the event. Share it with your sound engineer so they can follow along during the show.
