Backing Tracks
Upload audio files to play alongside your band during performance — click tracks, synth sequences, orchestral parts, or full backing arrangements.
Song-Level Backing Tracks
Section titled “Song-Level Backing Tracks”Each song can have a backing track attached:
- Open a song
- Go to the Backing Track section in the editor
- Upload an audio file
- The track is stored and ready to play
Step-Level Backing Tracks
Section titled “Step-Level Backing Tracks”If you use song steps, each step can have its own backing track. This lets you trigger different audio for different sections of the song — a string pad for the verse, a synth arpeggio for the chorus.
Per step, configure:
- Auto-trigger — Start playback automatically when the step begins
- Loop count — Single shot, 2x, 4x, 8x, or infinite loop
Playback
Section titled “Playback”Backing tracks play through your device’s audio output. Use your device’s audio settings to route output to speakers, headphones, or a dedicated monitor mix.
Transport Controls
Section titled “Transport Controls”- Play/Pause — Start or pause playback
- Stop — Stop and return to the beginning
Click Track Integration
Section titled “Click Track Integration”Backing tracks work alongside the built-in click track. The click track provides a metronome at the song’s tempo, while backing tracks play your audio content. Both can run simultaneously.
Enable the click track per song in the song editor. Configure click track settings (sound, volume) in Settings > Audio.
Audio Routing
Section titled “Audio Routing”Configure your preferred audio output device in Settings > Audio. This is useful when you want click tracks in your earpiece and backing tracks through the PA, or when running a multi-output audio interface.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”Backing tracks are stored securely in the cloud and sync across devices.
